trouble with WIN 2000!!!!!

can anyone shed any light on this???


i've recently upgraded to win2000 and now my on board sound card locks out and beeps and clicks after a short while ive downloaded new drivers from various web sites and no go it uses the cmi8738 audio chip

All i can tell you is to update windows 2000 with sp pack 1 or 2 and be4 you do that , check what the sp packs update and see if the bug your talking aobut is in the list of fixes.

Hi.

This is my first time posting, but I must go with the previous post and advise windows update, the C-Media drivers WILL be there (the last in the list of all updates).

The reason I say this is because I have the exact same sound device on my W2K system and I picked it up there.
