I bought a used Trinitron Monitor but cannot control the centering of the image. I press the front button and get a neat little menu with about 9 "ideas" but cannot access the menu. To give you some idea of my expertise, I buy the Dummy books. Thanks!

Hi and Welcome,

Give us an idea of the number of buttons you have on the front of the monitor and what they represent.

You will probably have one button that says Menu, and maybe two to four directional buttons. Try this: Once you press the Menu button, press one of the other buttons to see if it takes you into that option. There is usually some sort of help on the screen that will tell you which buttons to push to do certain chores.

Try all that, and if unsuccesssful, post back with the number of buttons, etc.

You might find the user manual at Dell (http://support.dell.com/us/en/docs/index.asp?cc=3).

Thanks BB ... (posting this for sake of others) ... as you suggested, I pressed menu button, then varied arrow keys until screen-adjust option was highlighted. Then I pressed menu button again which gave me the actual adjust-screen window. Using arrow keys again, I adjusted as needed. Thanks again...some of us are pretty green!!
