Friends computer just got ate by this lovely virus. It is showing invalid system disk. Obviously must reinstall. Now when i press F8, I can't get into the start menu. Is there another key to press. It is a 266, I believe. And the other thing I wanted to ask is once I reinstall is the virus still lurking about or do I have to still get rid of it.

You should do a full Fdisk routine. Delete any existing partitions, set new ones, then install.

Thanks Bassman. Just one question, I have never done a partition. I tried once on a hard drive that was finished. SO I know the procedure, but what exactly is the best way to partition a hard drive? Don't want to mess this up as this is not my computer. Just want to be sure of all the facts. Thanks.
