Two months ago I upgrade my OS from Windows Second Edition to Windows ME. Last week, I upgraded to Windows XP. Since then I have had some major problems.

Severial people have told me I should run the Fdisk program and reinstall Windows XP as a clean install. Can anyone offer me some help?

Yes I would do a clean install, but back up all your data before you do this. Actually i would go back to ME, cause Xp needs updated drivers and if you dont have a good internet connection youll be downloading for a while.

You don't need to run Fdisk. insert your Win XP CD settup will ask if you want to repair your old installation, upgrade, or a new install choose new install choose the drive that XP is installed on settup will delete recreate and install to this drive Caution all data on this drive will be removed! http://www.PCGuide.com/ubb/eek.gif If you want to run Fdisk (http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;EN-US;q255867) you can run it from a Win 98, 98SE, or ME boot disk.
