I have download this X-windows emulator from tucows:

it is called xwin501.exe
I basically did a search on x-windows emulator.

on of the setup command is to write a.rhost file with my windows IP address
how do I find this??

"For most systems, try rexec first. If that doesn't work you can use rsh,
but you will need to create a ".rhosts" file in your home directory on the Unix
system with the name or IP address of your Windows system."

Please help

What version of Windows? static (always the same) or dynamic (assigned by your ISP when you connect to the internet) IP? Dialup or broadband? Is this IP internet or intranet?
If you have a static IP go to start-->run type winipcfg in the run dialogue box.

I think Windows XP and Microsoft use more of my bandwidth than I do  !

For Windows 95/98:

1) Press Start
2) Choose Run
d) Type winipcfg

Hope this helps
