anyone know how to change the pre-programed links assigned to the internet keyboard buttons. it's an emachines 533id, win98se, keyboard model # eKB-5190. i checked the registry, win.ini, sys.ini, IE6 folder,,,,,, somewhere these keys have to be assigned, and set somewhere?

just got these keys back working (have cable modem,,,, these keys would be handy),,, i'd like to change these pre-set internet keyboard buttons to my liking.

any info would be appreciated

thanks

don

I have a Microsoft Natural Keyboard Pro and my programs are changed in the keyboard applet in the control panel. I used to have a different internet keyboard and the keys were changrd in the same place so you might want to try there.

I think Windows XP and Microsoft use more of my bandwidth than I do!

I just went to the emachine web site. Tech support there is almost non-existent! There should be some kind of keyboard software for this, probably in the control panel as mentioned or the programs menu or maybe an icon in the system tray near the clock, but i assume you have already checked for this.

You might need to reinstall the driver. This link might help: http://www.driverguide.com/boards/emachines/56.html
