I have a rather unique problem. My PC is getting booted only after I make the power supply Off/On five/six times. OS is Windows 98 and it is a Pentium-II 266 machine having one FAT and another FAT32 hard disk drives.Once I power ON the PC, only CD drive and monitor show the power ON sign and fan of the CPU is also running, but no booting( completely blank screen) until I repeat this for five/six times. Now once it gets booted, then subsequent booting/restart does not require this Off/ On of the power. Please help me out with some useful advice.

regards..

That's an older machine, I would check out the power supply first, sounds like it might be going bad, not producing enough voltage until it warms up.
