I have 2 computers and one printer. The printer has a parallel port plus a USB port. The USB is used now. Could I use the parallel port for the other computer at the same time ? Without any problems ?

Thanks

I could easily be wrong here but I believe the printer will only allow one type of connection to be active at a time. Why not try it ....you won't hurt anything! The only way I'm aware of to "share" a printer is to network the two puters.

Yes you can, you'll just have to assign the second printer to the LPT1 port and give it a new name.

Then you'll designate which one is the default. Use the add new printer wizard, choose local-then choose the LPT1 port for the new printer and make sure to name it differently than your other one.
