I uninstalled a PANDA antivirus because it made my PC unstable, but there are two entries left in the autoexec.bat. I went to Run>MSCONFIG>Autoexec.bat and unchecked these two entries. When I boot-up, it is still there and added the word "rem" in each line. Can I just erase it from the Autoexec.bat field? When I do that, there is a pencil icon.

Hey Johnathan,
Check also under the system.ini tab. Open the "Boot" folder and delete any references in there.
Good luck http://www.PCGuide.com/ubb/cool.gif

The REM tells windows to ignore that command line; so there is no need to erase it. Could you reproduce it? if not then just let it be, the system will ignore it as long as that REM line is in front of the commands.
