My MB is a FIC VA-503+, socket 7, with the following information:
AMD K6-2 (model 8)
Socket 7 (PGA socket)
Authenic AMD
Original OEM Processor
AMD K6(tm) 3D Processor
Internal Clock: 450
System Bus: 100
System clock: 100
Multiplier: 4.5
L1 I-cache: 32 K
L1 D-cache: 32K
L2 faided, not registering although manual states the following:
"The VA-503+ come the onboard 512K (1MB is optional) synchronous 3.3V Pipeline Burst SRAMs. Cache memory is very fast compared to main memory access. Since cache memory is from five to more than ten times faster than main memory, the system performance is better."
Questions: (1) If the mainboard is supposed to have this already installed, why doesn't it register with WCPUID?
(2) Do I need to set up something is CMOS for it to register?
(3) If so, how do I accomplish this?
Other system information which may be helpful:
OS: Windows 98
RAM: 196 MB
MB Chipset is VIA Apollo MVP3, VIA Apollo VT82C586 (with current drivers)
Thanks in advance
