I know how to shut down any programs in Win98se when adding a new program with the "Ctrl+Alt+Del" - But I've got Win XP now and I'm not sure how to or which programs to shut down. When I hit the "Ctrl+Alt-Del" The Windows Task manager pops up with the Applications and Processes tabs. There are a ton of programs running under the Processes tab. Which one should I end?
Thanks, Jim

None of them because most are crucial for the computer to run smoothly. Just the ones you know you added. If its not crucial for the added program to run in the background.

Would it not be better to close down any Anti-Virus software by right clicking the Taskbar Icon? As this can sometimes create probs (at least in 98)
