My PC is a PIII in an ASUS P3V4x motherboard and VIA chipset. How will I know if the VIA 4 in 1 driver was installed?

My 4 in 1 drivers are on my motherboaed disk.
You have to install them yourself.
On some of my boards I have not installed the 4 in 1 drivers because I felt I did not need them.
Some boards I installed the 4 in 1 drivers.

One clue is to do a file search and look for via. You should see names like viaide and viaagp if installed.

The current 4in1 version is dated 21 December 2001 and is available here (http://www.viaarena.com/?PageID=2#4in1).

Run Regedit. Go to Hkey_Local_Machine/Software. Scroll down and if the drivers are installed, you will see a line item that says something like, "Via 4 in 1". Highlight that line and in the right-hand pane, you will see the version number that's installed.
