video card

Thanx for previous advice for video card (resolution prob) but how do I find out what video card is in my machine. If I open it up is it written on it? The manufacturer has gone out of business. I have a driver disc supplied by them but there are about 10 different drivers on it. What is the worst that can happen if I put the wrong one on the machine. Please remember I'm a newbie but learning fast!

What OS are you using.
Under ME right click desktop/active desktop/customise my desktop/settings.
It should be next to display. Or control panel/display/settings.
