hi everyone,
just purchased a intel 815 mainboard with a slightly old bios
revision and i figured out that most likely it will not recognize
my late model 370 cpu without a bios flash.i have only 3 ideas -
1)try to run my computer on the new cpu and then flash 2)find a friend
with a 370 cpu i can use to boot and flash 3)find a shop to flash the
bios for me($$$$).any words of wisdom appreciated.
as usual-thanks in advance.

I just did a quick search and found that 600Mhz celeron PPGA chips are selling for $25 new...so you may actually be able to pick one up used cheaper than that, and it swould work to flash the board with or borow one.
