tomtomg59,

Not quite understanding your question. Are you asking how to upload to your website?

You may need to set this "phrase" where you want it to go on your "working copy" and then up load the entire page to your site...overwriting what's already there.

Not sure if this is what you're asking... http://www.PCGuide.com/ubb/frown.gif

Whyzman: I sorry for the confusion, but i am confused myself and what I am trying to do is (Well if you can) Please go to this site and it will explain>>> www.cgiforme.com (http://www.cgiforme.com) I am getting alot of spam and this place has a feature that (when you get the spam) It sends out 2000 emails to the spammer and i have to somehow get this feature but i don't understand exactly how to get it. If you get a chance would you look this site over for me and let me know what you think? I am in no hurry, Thank You TOM PS: They are in the middle of moving there site stuff, so you may have to REFRESH each page you try to visit there, thats what i had to do!

Took a look at the site you linked to. Here's what I found...

Q. How do I add the script to my site?
A. When you sign up, check the Anti-Spam check. Or, if you already have an account, use our Add a Script utility in the admin to add the script to your account. Then log in to the admin to add the script.

BTW, I don't know what would be worse, spam or the ton of pop-ups I was hit with just visiting the site! http://www.PCGuide.com/ubb/rolleyes.gif

You got that right, but i thought i would just use it for a short while to get back at this spammer that won't hang it up! i would like to send 2000 dead emails back to them. I know it says log in to the admins. but nothing happened so i thought I could copy and paste this to my website<SCRIPT LANGUAGE="JavaScript" SRC="http://users.cgiforme.com/antispam.js"></SCRIPT>but i don't how to do that and I have to wait for an answer, which might take a long time because they are in transition! If you have any idea's on this (copy and paste)of the Script Language etc. Please let me know and Thank You for looking over that Site for me, Tom

Thanks for the warning Whyzman. Turned off popups in Opera and went and had a peep. The quote below is the description of this "facility".

This script helps you fight spam off of your website! This clever script sits by waiting for computer spam bots to try to pickup email addresses off of your website. The script then kicks into action by sending the spam bot up to 2000 fake and invalid email addresses. This results in the next time the spammer wishes to send out an email he has up to 2000 invalid and fake email addresses to deal with!

Usage:
To use it simply copy this small HTML tag to your website and the script goes right into action:

TomTom It seems you have never prepared your website by looking at or editing HTML code. You will either have to download a page that you wish to add this script to, then (using an HTML editor - Word might do the job) paste it into the body of the HTML code and then upload the page back to the website or else create a new page, insert the script as before and upload it.

I'm not so sure it protects any eMails on your site from being picked-up by the spambots; it just means that they pick-up an extra 2000 invalid ones in the process.

Hey Tom,
If you have edited your site and are familiar with what HTML code looks like, try this.

Just above the </head> tag, create an empty line (put curser to end of last line before this and hit "Enter". With the curser blinking in this new line, hit "Ctrl-V". That will paste the code on your page. Be sure to save any changes. I would think you would want to do this on every page on your site.

If you can edit your pages from your host, that would be easiest, if not then open your pages on your machine, then upload the updated pages.

Maybe I better go take a look at this thing before I say to much http://www.PCGuide.com/ubb/rolleyes.gif

EDIT, Well, I guess the trick here is, you need to host your site with them. The script refers back to their CGI/BIN and does this neat trick.

Let us know if you need further help Tom http://www.PCGuide.com/ubb/cool.gif

Whzman, Paul,Bassman: Thank You guys very much, i never did this before and will have to make some strong coffee and experiment to figure this out, I know how to copy and paste but this HTML business, i will have to look into! I was hoping i could just paste the formula to my email at AOL and Yahoo and when i get spammed it would send out the 2000 phony emails to them. This one place in particular is really bugging me and they keep changing domains but there all from AOL, i don't know why aol cannot stop them it always has an aol ID address on it! I would love to be able to send out all those phony emails to them, just to give them a dose of there on medicine! I might be looking into another ISP soon. Tom

tom-tom spam mail is insidious!

go here (http://www.pcguide.com/cgi-bin/forumdisplay.cgi?action=topics&forum=Software+Troubleshooting&number=16&DaysPrune=1000&LastLogin=) and get a redirector for your site, the bots will not get your real email.

Just for the record.

The site doesn't host webpages it just host scripts, which are accessed from you own website. There is some 250kB available to save your personal settings for password protection on pages on your own site and suchlike.

The antispam script can be used by anyone if they want to - in a similar way to accessing .gif files for UBB use; instead of pointing to a picture it points to a javascript.
