View Full Version : How Can I send a message to reach all my friends listed in my Adress Book .

Once in a wile I receive an Internet scam warning from friends over the net and I would like to share this information with my friends .I have about 150 email addresses in my address book it would take hours to send it one by one .Is there an easier way to do it ?? Any good suggestions are welcomed and I tank you in advance .

If your GOD given sensors can't detect it's existence than use other means to check and Just because no sensors can detect it ,don't think it is not there .

Your friends will thank you..trust me..if you address the email to yourself. I don't know which program you're using, but in OE you can click on the CC button, then select all your friends' addys, then put them in the BCC box (blind carbon copy), put your message into message pane and send it. That way, only your address is wandering around the Net visibly. I have friends in my Address Book that would have a hissy fit if other friends knew their email address.
Many of the warnings, though, that go around the Net are hoaxes..but if you are going to forward something, be sure that you run a virus check on it. My uncle got the last two viri from well meaning friends who had no idea they were passing viri along.

or.., you can add a new group to your address book, add the addresses to the new group, then whenever you want to write to all of them just send to the group.

Was thinking about this post later, and you might want to break the addys up into smaller groups than the whole 150 because, even though you can't "see" all those names and addresses, they will add size to the file. I have a slow dial up connection...maybe some of your friends do as ell, and keeping file size down is a good thing.
