I just upgraded my computer and I'm having tons of problems. I solved a lot of the big ones, but there's one huge problem still looming.

I kept getting random reboots, so I moved the memory to another slot. That sorta quit then I started locking up whenever I'd play Counterstrike (or anything that taxed memory). I decided to install the System Monitor from the Mobo disk, and now it keeps telling me that "+12V is out of range". I checked the jumpers on the board, and they're both set to default. I can't install the OC partner from the disk, either. Help!

Please e-mail me with any tips...

If the 12V is out of spec, I think that is the first thing to check. Step through your BIOS settings; it will probably show the voltage there. If you have a voltmeter, check the 12V on a drive connector. Motherboard jumpers set the CPU core and I/O, but the 12V is usually straight from the power supply.

You can try moving the frequency and/or multiplier ratio down to see if the memory is marginal. I have two 100 MHz FSB boards running PC100 memory, but had to step them to 89 and 95 MHz to become stable. (I read later that I should have bought PC133.)

I have heard about heat and stability problems with the AZ11 motherboard. I know one person that had to return his and buy another brand. Go to www.deja.com (http://www.deja.com) and search on AZ11. There should be a lot of posts about the problems.
