insert picture revisited

I am still stuck
I am running excel and word 2000
Where the heck is the insert picture menu?
I click Insert, move the pointer down to Picture,

the sub-menu opens
Clip Art...
From File...
From Scanner or Camera...
Organization Chart...
AutoShapes...
WordArt...

No Advanced button in there!

I select From File...
I get the Insert File dialog box
There is a Tools menu in the upper right corner
but nada there either

You need to browse to a folder containing any pic's you wish to use.

if you're in 2k/XP it should default to opening in your " My documents/my Pictures " folder-however you can browse to any folder on your system in order to load a pic.
