I took off all of the keys of my microsoft keyboard (windows keyboard I think?) and the shift keys and the spacebar all had a piece of metal that I think is for balancing out the key when you push down on one side so the key goes down evenly. I'm having trouble getting these little suckers back in their little places. Does anyone have any tips on doing this?

Model # is K290 (I think)

Any help is much appreciated... If anyone has specific tips, I'd appreciate it if they could possibly be emailed (as well as posted here if you'd like) to d03boy@hotmail.com because Im sure I'll get it sooner.

Thanks!

Hey Do3boy,
Not sure exactly what these little suckers look like http://www.PCGuide.com/ubb/biggrin.gif, but maybe a tiny dab of light grease (Vasaline) will hold them in place long enough to set the key back.

Good luck http://www.PCGuide.com/ubb/cool.gif

Try www.overclockers.com (http://www.overclockers.com) and go to there forums section, they take apart there keyboards all the time. Go to the extreme modding section. They usually take it apart to paint it. I have a hunch thats what your doing.

Thanks for the advice, I dont know about the vasaline trick... not sure if I want to make a mess so I'll see if the overclockers will handle me first http://www.PCGuide.com/ubb/wink.gif

I appreciate the help though from both of you
