I have three monitors that have gone 'dead' just by showing a red light instead of the normal green/orange. Is there anything I can do to get round with this phenomenon?

Are you using a surge protector to guard against voltage spikes?

Do these monitors work at on other machines or just your main machine?

DO they sometimes work?

I use UPS to guard against power surges, on swapping them around they do work but the red light symptom persists.

You might want to consider email contacting the manufacturer of your surge protection device and ask their tech-support regarding your problem.
