Thanks for the replies .
From what I gather , with the use of third-party software , I can make all partitions active. Put the operating systems in whatever partition I want to.
I don't know much about these third-party softwares. On startup .. do these programs give me the option as to which OS I want to boot?

I have found the 3rd partys not very good, at least for me. I run a 4 boot system, and 2 3 boot systems. I let windows boot loader do its thing, it will give you a choice. Linux boot loader will also give you a choise. I did not like boot magic.
