View Full Version : XP Network Print Confirmation PAIN

My office just got upgraded to New Windows XP Pro Machines and all of the machines connected to the network share a printer per 4 cubicles. The server is a NT4.0 Machine and when we print to the shared network printer it pops a confirmation page showing that it sucessfully printed whatever we sent to the printer. When you are printing a lot of documents, this gets extremely annoying. Can anyone help me out with this? I think our tech guy is a moron because he says he doesn't have the time to look up the problem and that it is just an XP Bug but I know there has to be a fix somewhere.

Thanks
JJ

Every time a print job, completes, I get this annoying dialog box announcing that the job printed successfully. I never got this under Windows 9x or NT 4. How do I turn this off?

You can turn this annoying dialog off at the print server or on a client-by-client basis. Either way, the process is the same: Open Control Panel -> Printers and choose Server Properties from the File menu. On the Advanced tab, uncheck the option Notify when remote documents are printed.
