Hard Drive Capacity/Screen Color

Originally my Hard Drive has a capacity of 17 GB. After I formatted it and install an OS (Windows 98SE), everything was ok, I supported the use of max drive capacity. After a few hrs of using, the color of the screen change to somewhat like pink, it trie to adjust thru the Display property but didn't work, then I check by chance the drive capacity it is only 500MB plus. I reformatted it again but it does not return to its original capacity. http://www.PCGuide.com/ubb/frown.gif Anybody pls. help me.

Not sure what exactly is going on here.....maybe a combination of problems, that may have by chance happened as you formatted your drive.

Few things come to mind and worth checking.

Do you have a the latest video card drivers.
Has your monitor been fine before this?, have you tried if you monitor supports it "degausing".

Have you checked your video card is properly inserted.

You might also benefit from Re-partitioning your drive then formating it, as this should iron out any creases in a corrupt parittion...
