Hi guys , I'd like to put a command in one of these startup files to automatically delete my c:\windows\cookies folder at boot up.

I have windwows ME btw. Does windows me not use these files anymore and if they don't how can I have my computer delete certain folders and files at bootup?

Also I'm interested in running some batch files and if autoexec.bat and config.sys do not exist how do I get these batch files to run at startup? I suppose I could place them in the startup folder but that is stupid. I WAN'T BACK MY ABILITY TO CONFIGURE WINDOWS THE WAY I WANT! http://www.PCGuide.com/ubb/frown.gif

Perhaps you could try-out WinME DOS Activator v1.2 from HERE (http://www.geocities.com/dos8me/)

Or Real DOS-Mode Patch for Windows ME v1.3 from HERE (http://www.geocities.com/mfd4life_2000/)

Basically, nope, ME does not use them...unless you "break" Me, and Paul provided the links for that.

Also by placing them in the startup folder it defeats the purpose of them, because they may run before the desktop appears (maybe, depending on what else you have running in thebackground), but they most definitely aren't running before Windows starts.
