OK, I don't know if I'm writing this in the right section here...
I've been trying to copy some CDs and they're not good... the last songs are always messed up.
I realize that this happens when the CD-R capacity is lower then that of the original CD. So how do I copy a CD that's 732MB on a 700MB CD-R?
Thank you in advance,
Fred

Some CD-RW drives support a feature called "over-burn" which allows you to squeeze that bit more space out of a cd disc. Again though if it doesn't support it it wont work. So you will have to either settle for less tracks, or use some sort of program that could possible compress the original but i would recommend this.
Are the end tracks messed up because there isn't enough space, or are they messed up for no apparant reason?
Make sure you burn your tracks and data at as low a write speed as possible, for more acurate end result..
Good luck

Thank you Dazman...
Most of the times, the tracks are messed up because there's not enough space; although there are other times when some tracks are burned and the rest are messed up for no apparent reason... why is that?

Neg,
For just a little longer now, I'm on a very slow pc. When I burn copies it is best to do a reboot first, close other programs and decrease the burn speed to 2x at fastest. One, because my cd-rom is'nt very fast and the burner is faster so it gets too far ahead of the player. Also I direct burn to disc rather than make a copy to hard drive first because that has almost always been the time it messes up. But I used 4x speed when trying it that way and haven't gone back and tried 2x yet.
I've got a stack of half done cd's that will be wind chimes before long... I wonder how big it will be if I don't make it right away... Hmmm, maybe I can put them in my skeet shooter??? Good thing they're only 23 cents apiece.
PS,
Nowadays there's a lot of video on the music cd's and that's how they fill the cd up when there's only 10 to 12 songs on it. If you use the program that let's you just burn the audio track you can get around 17 to 20 song on an 700 meg cd-r.
