When I boot my computer I get an invalid system disk error exactly like I had a non-system disk in drive a but it is empty. I have partitioned and formated. I think there is a command that I have to give when I start the system with my boot disk to copy the command.com or something but I am not sure. This problem seems familiar. I think this happened several years ago.

Start with a Windows98 Startup disk in the drive; At the [A] prompt type, sys c:, and strike the Enter key. You should get a message that say 'System transfered'.

You probably didn't need to format just do the above or type, fdisk mbr, or fdisk /mbr, at the A:\ and strike the Enter key. Or, scanreg /restore
