the scroll wheel on my mouse has stopped working, occasionally it will scroll the page slightly but mostly it does'nt. everything else works fine, I've had it apart but it seems that the scroll wheel part is enclosed.
Is it time for a new mouse. ?

Are you using window's built in logitech generic driver? If so-remove it in safe mode and let window's redetect it to see if that help's.
If you're using some propietary driver ( ie; intellimouse, etc..) try uninstalling it and using window's generic ones.
If you've been thru all these steps-and nothing has worked; then as cheap as mice are i'd just go buy a new optical/cordless one! http://www.PCGuide.com/ubb/biggrin.gif

Hi Vic.
I had a similar problem with mine too. As a last resort, I removed the wheel section complete and dunked it in isopropyl alcohol! http://www.PCGuide.com/ubb/biggrin.gif Gave it a good shaking and left it for an hour. Dried it out, reassembled the mouse and its still working. Worth trying, but no guarantees. Still a mouse is an expendable item.
