Keyboard problems

When I try to type on my computer, the keyboard often skips letters that I type. It's almost a if my computer is running a hidden program that is interrupting it. I'm almost sure that it isn't a problem with the keyboard itself, but nothing suprises me with these things. I'm forced to type slow and it's driving me crazy. Can anyone help???

First try the keyboard on another machine, that will tell you if it's a bad keyboard, which I suspect. They do get flaky after a year or two and a few dozen coffee spills...

Know where Bastrop is? I was born there...Would be there right now for Turkey Day, but back trouble made the 5 hour drive a bad idea...
