hi, I have to design a network for approx 12 people, 3 in 1 area of the room and 6 in another then a small room with with 2 directors in small room. I am thinking on the lines of wireless system mainly because its 1 room 15 metres X 20 metres with a free standing partitioned wall.
I'm just not sure ho wireless systems work with servers, what I mean is if the wireless transmitter is wall mounted how are they connected to the server I think I am right by saying that the computers would have receiver cards in each, so I cant see how they pickup from the transmitter. I would be greatful for any advice on this.

To keep it real simple a wireless network would have one access point and one wireless network card per computer. Each computer would access the others thur the access point. ( much like a "real" network with wires and a hub or router only in this case we'll have no wires. Which is why they call it "wireless" http://www.PCGuide.com/ubb/biggrin.gif )

Most of the wireless networking kits come with good instructions on setup and are real easy to get going.

Hope this helps http://www.PCGuide.com/ubb/smile.gif
