Monitor Screen Edges

I have a Tekbright 510V Monitor. I don't know what is going on, but my screen is not giving me full advantage of all reading area. Example is, it won't stretch to the full screen. I have tried messing with the settings in Control Panel but to no avail, you can still about 1/2" to 1" all around the edges. I don't know what else to do--can someone please help?

If it does the same thing in DOS, it's a bad monitor, or going dead. If not, try updating the video card drivers or changing the refresh rate.
