To answer the first question
Run the hot (red) line from the Block to the switch then to the fan.
and direct connect the black.
Possible Problem ..
If that is the fan controller I think it is.
each time you use one of the switches to turn off a fan.
it will trip the internal alarm (On controller) telling you that a fan has failed ..
(It reads voltage change?)
If not then you should not have a problem.
If you let the controller adjust the speed
Depending on the fans used Low voltage to reduce speed may shorten the life of the fans

Rick this Rheobus has Dials basically you turn the knob to the right and the lites get brighter and the faster the fans spin turn to the left the lites go dimmer until the fan stops spinning.this will not be hooked to mobo just the PWR supply. It doesn't moniter anything just has really pretty brite blue lites the faster the fan the briter the lites.
So your saying the senerio is this:
take the red wire from the fan attatch to the switch.
take red wire from the block attatch to the switch.
take the Black wire from the fan and attatch to the block.
and repete this for the other switches.
Houston, This is Flight, If this is a confermation, Then I'm assuming this is a Go!

Nice Little unit. http://www.tweaknews.net/reviews/rheobus/
It looks like they have a number of units .
If your unit has the ability to control all 7 fans using 4 control knobs.
Why not connect them in pairs,
the fans on the top to one knob, Those on the door to another
the rear fans direct or to another knob.
Then Just use the control knobs to shut the fans off

Yup That there be the booger http://www.PCGuide.com/ubb/biggrin.gif Ya that is what I'm doing that way I only need three switches with this unit as long as you don't exceed 17W per your ok. why I want to use switches is the fact that the knobs do not shut the fan off completely if you turn it down all the way the fans will stop but there is still juice going to them and I was affraid that eventually the fans will go south. But I'm not sure about that

That is a good question.
Will low voltage (below normal Minimum ) harm a brush less fan?
Maybe your better off safe than sorry with the switches.
Check your mail..
