Ethernet Home Networking

How do you network two computer using only a ethernet cable? I've done it before but i forgot. Im using XP OS. Thanks.

I have never done it with XP but have done it multiple times with Win95/98. I assume it is similar, though I hear there is a wizard for it in XP. All there is to it is to connect the category 5 cable (must be crossed) to the nic in each computer and then set up the software--workgroup, ip addresses...
