You would need a cross over cable.

This site might be of help:

MeX,

A crossover cable and an NIC card in both computers is about all the hardware you'll need.

THIS (http://support.microsoft.com/search/preview.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;Q308522) KB article can help with configuring the software. Keep in mind that the HELP file on your computer provides some pretty good info. http://www.PCGuide.com/ubb/smile.gif

Another option if u want to use the internet from both comps is to get a LAN Modem, I have one at home for my two comps and it is a brillaint device, it acts as a hub for both comps as well as a modem so u can use the internet from either comp without having to rely on one.

They are a couple of hundred dollars though but in my mind a good investment (mine is an ISDN one becasue my area doesnt get ADSL but im sure u could find something similar).
