We are running a small Win2K server domain at work with Outlook 2000 on workstations storing their pst files locally.

The boss wants to be able to access his e-mail from 2 different PCs. Would the simplest thing be to set him up with the same account on 2 workstations and put the pst file on the server in a shared folder with the requisite permissions?

I know he then couldn't have the pst file open in the 2 PCs simultaneously.....or is there a way to do this?

Thanks,
Tony.

No.

That'll work. He'll have to remember to shut down Outlook as he goes from workstation to workstation. But if your boss is like some VPs I know (who think email is like rocket science) you might want to talk him/her out of this one.

Good Luck http://www.PCGuide.com/ubb/smile.gif

Thanks for that. It may be one idea that will die a natural death if I don't mention it again...... :-)
