Urgent help needed!

alright...i've found out that the problem is a "VTD device initialization failure. Windows protection error. You must restart your computer now." What is a VTD device? Now I know that it is just a configuration error somewhere in my BIOS. Any suggestions?

i have windows 98 with an ATI RAGE 128 AGP graphics card and an Athlon 800 mhz processor with microstar motherboard. I have 128 PC100 memory (64,32,32)

Have you configured it ? Are ther eany conflivts?
Is card properly seated?

Virtual Device Drivers
A virtual device driver is a 32-bit, protected-mode driver that manages a system resource, such as a hardware device or installed software, so that more than one application can use the resource at the same time. To understand the improvements available in Windows 95 over the combination of MS-DOS and Windows 3.1, it helps to have a basic understanding of what virtual device drivers (VxDs) are and the role they play in the Windows 95 environment.

The term VxD refers to a general virtual device driver, with x representing the type of device driver. For example, VDD is a virtual device driver for a display device, a VTD is a virtual device driver for a timer device, a VPD is a virtual device driver for a printer device, and so on. Windows uses virtual devices to support multitasking for MS-DOS–based applications, virtualizing the different hardware components on the system to make it appear to each MS-DOS virtual machine (VM) that it is executing on its own computer.
