Is there some way to use Norton ghost on a Windows 2000 machine with a NTFS partition? If someone knows how to get DOS to read NTFS I can do the rest.

Hi jason.

Ghost 6 (possibly even 5) works fine with Win 2000. Ghost 2002 is needed for XP. If you haven't already, visit this page (http://ghost.radified.com/ghost_1.htm).

Hi,
We use ghost from Norton System Works 2000 in a dos boot partition and we can create images of an NTFS partition fine but have to ensure that our images are stored in a FAT 16 partition otherwise the Dos version of our ghost wont read the saved image.

Have sometimes picked up errors in NTFS with messages reffering to using checkdisk first, might be worth always running checkdisk on an NTFS before cloning (dont want to clone errors)

Any other thoughs anyone (Were using NT4)
