Good Day to All!

guys, after napster, is there any other software here that offers free MP3 downloads?? i tried using morpheus but i guess my ISP restrict me to download any kind of file including MP3, for maybe im behind a firewall. do any of you guys know how download an MP3 behind a firewall??

another thing, can i change an MP3 format into an ordinary cd format so i can use it on my audio cd player?

1. As a good alternative to the old Napster, I use WinMX (http://www.winmx.com). I've had no problems with it.

2. I'm not to sure I've ever heard of an ISP banning the downloading of .mp3 files. Depending on what firewall you're running, you have to allow the file sharing program access to the internet.

I use Zonealarm 2.6 and allow WinMX access to the 'net through ZA.

3. You can change .mp3 format to 'ordinary CD format' by converting the mp3 file to a .wav format to put on a CD-R. CD software such as Nero 5.x allow you to convert the files prior to burning an audio CD. Musicmatch Jukebox can also do this.

No contention- Wmx is head and shoulders the best - better than napster as well. Get Napmx as well to search for other networks and load them into Winmx so you can have a biger search range. The latest Winmx allows downloading the same track from multiple sites.
One point though (I say this out of experience) be courteous and share your downloads with others.
A huge range of music and old radio (my fav) and audio books.
Use Nero etc to convert and burn

I really like KaZaA becauase you can also download Warez http://www.PCGuide.com/ubb/biggrin.gif IT IS NO DIFFERENT THEN DOWNLOADING MP3s SO DONT FLAME!!! Also i use EZCD creator 5.0 basic and it automatically converts them when it burns them to a CD so if you have it or Nero it should automatically do it try out KaZaA alot of peopla are using it and it offers more than most P2P apps

right at this moment, im downloading WINMX, hope this time this will work, i dont know really if my ISP restirct me to download or im behind a firewall. maybe i need bit of configuration here.. do i?

yes, definetly go with WinMX, stay AWAY from Kazaa!!!!!!!!

(unless you can find kazaa_Lite- which has the spyware removed)

also- be sure when you click to download a file in these P2P apps- to NOT click "download and OPEN on completion" (or something similiar) because this is when people find MAJOR problems leaving a P2P unattended running and opening files!

get a good free anti virus AVG comes to mind, cause you're gonna need it!

hmm how bad is the spyware in Kazaa, i have had no problems with it so far, my firned got that benjamin virus but it was no big deal, i like it i like how easy it is to use and how many users there are plus all the awesome warez and MP3s
