Re 'Command Prompt'

If I boot to a Command Prompt or DOS and examine the list of Registry backups, then Exit without making any changes, I get a screen with the following line:-
C:\WINDOWS>_
I can't figure out what command to enter to load Windows as normal, and have to press the Reset button to get out of it.
Anyone know what command to Enter?

If you mean real DOS, just type: win
and it will start up Windows.

Thanks for the info. Strangely enough, 'Win + Enter' causes ScanDisk to fire up,(Windows was not shut down correctly etc), but 'Esc + X' aborts it.
My system (98SE) is getting somewhat unstable though. I'm getting an 'Exporer is shutting down' message. I can click on it forever, but it the box refuses to close. Resetting the system is the only way to clear it.

If you entered from windows, use EXIT at the Dos command prompt to return to windows.
