applets-gifs?

I hope this is the right forum. I looked around for the answer, but, didn't have any luck. What can/can't you use in here as far as applets,gif's etc? TIA.

Sorry I didn't get back to you sooner. HTML and Java aren't used, only UBB, which you know now from another topic.

In general we try to use animated gifs sparingly, it seems in the early days of the forums a few complaints wwere recieved from users about pages taking longer to load, so we only use them on sparse occasions.

Do some surfing through the forums and you'll see what I mean, you don't see animations in the majority of the posts, just every now and then, usually when a topic is going well and we're having a bit of fun with it too...and of course here in the After Hours section I see no reason why a good animation would be any problem...we're here to have fun, after all...
