I have actually had some people call me (on a helpdesk) with some of these problems, so I think they are hilarious!! I was reading through and realized that this might be a great place to share them: http://www.rinkworks.com/stupid/

That's great, I love it...reminds me of a friend who insisted on calling his CPU a Pentel Pentium, no matter how many times I explained that Intel made CPU's, and Pentel made ink pens...for 3 years! And tried to get me to believe he knew how to work on computers. Argued with me constantly about things I knew I was right about...also once handed me the Microsoft Plus! CD and insisted he had installed windows 95 from that CD, even after I put it in and showed him it had no win95 installation files or folder on it...I don't know how he finally found out Intel was the CPU manufacturer, but after 3 years he finally was referring to it as Intel, not Pentel...I finally gave up and just didn't mention computers any more.

Kind of reminds me of my old high-school "computer teacher." She was teaching DOS and told the class "In order to find a file, type DIR at the C:\. Now look really closely, because all the files will go past quite quickly. . ."
Was she ever amazed when I told her to use DIR/w or DIR/p!
