Steelers...ouch

I've been riding high this year on the backs of the Steelers but today the Bengals spanked the black & gold pretty good. Kitna shredded the defense while the offense lost thier teeth in the 2nd half. Against a better team the Steelers would've been blown out.

On the bright side we've been waiting for the big letdown game and today was it so I hope it's now on to bigger things. Still waiting for Oakland but Gannon looks pretty good so far today. Too bad his defense still can't stop the run (but neither did we against the Bengals). St. Louis looked unstoppable and I question if we can actually hang with them or not.

Just when I was singing the praises of Gannon he tosses 2 int in the 4th quarter which I guess cost Oakland home field throughout the playoffs. The AFC road to the SB will probably go through Pittsburg but it's been such a wacky season with upsets I'm not assuming anything right now...just fingers crossed. As far as Green Bay goes it wouldn't surprise me if they go deep in the playoffs. GB vs Chicago would be a awesome playoff game. Favre would shred them in the last 3 minutes for the win...heh

Anybody watching the fires that are surrounding Sydney? I've been there a couple of times and can't believe how the city is shrouded in smoke right now. Most of the fires, they now believe, were lit by arsonists and have caught more people lighting bush fires over the past couple of days. The situation down there has become quite dire.

UPSET? Denver was favored by a point. Go Broncos, gotta admit to being a Raider hater but not as much as when they had a lot of low lifes on their team a decade ago
