Howdy,

For those of you who get VH1 Classic, there is non-stop Floyd on all weekend, leading up to a grand finale tomorrow night at 8 Central, 9 Eastern.

The wife and I have been playing the videos through the stereo all day. Those guys amaze me. Best band of all time, IMHO. Although I am somewhat partial to Metallica these days as well. They, like Floyd, love what they do.

Cheers,

Big Blue 66

Well Bosseanna http://www.PCGuide.com/ubb/rolleyes.gif

Oh woe is me for i live in bogland. I can only hope my brother gives me a copy of Echoes to ease the pain. i wish i lived in a country where the music flows freely. I am also a huge fan of the wonders of pink floyd. Im a huge fan of Radiohead also, although theyre not directly comparable to pink floyd they have their similarities. I listen to a huge amount of music with lots of variation but i always come back to these two bands in the end of they day. they have everything. http://www.PCGuide.com/ubb/cool.gif

as 65,000 voices chant in unison...Pink----Floyd...Pink----FLoyd...you hear Gilmours' strat kick in with a delayed sliding vibrato as he begins the build-up to "Run Like Hell"

That sounds like a cool weekend. Our lame hip-hop version of MTV played the "Live at Pompeii" film three weeks ago. The first PF album I listened to was Relics. I was 14 or 15 at the time and I stopped listening to music with my ears and started listening to music with my imagination.

Anyone hear any rumors of a tour? I haven't and there was no mention on their site last time I was there...but I sure would like to see them again. I'd also like to see some new material...but I'm just gluttoness when it comes to Floyd http://www.PCGuide.com/ubb/biggrin.gif I know those guys have been at it for over 35yrs, but it's like a drug....they deserve any break they want.

Echoes (the album) is great...When The Tigers Broke Free takes you right back to the Wall the movie where Water's dad is in the bunker looking at all the death and destruction http://www.PCGuide.com/ubb/frown.gif

Live at Pompeii is an experience in itself...Echoes (the song) is my fav (like I could really pick a fav)....I'm amazed at the young folk that still pick up Floyd...Long Live Floyd!!!

Yep, Pink floyd are one the very few bands I listened to age 12 and am still listening to age 37 .... still excellent, Sunday mornings wouldn't be the same without a loud redition of Echoes http://www.PCGuide.com/ubb/smile.gif
