Since when has +10C been 'warm'! I'm not warm until it reaches +70C!

It's about +10C here (UK) but it's miserable, wet and windy.

It can only get better now though (famous last words?).

Isn't 70C around 170F? Or am I backwards? OK, no jokes.

Oh, it's 158 degrees. That seems pretty warm to me.

Yes,I made an error!! Should have said +20C. For most of my life we had
Fahrenheit here. It was changed some years ago (in anticipation of joining Europe) and if I'm not concentrating I 'slip' into F! I would of course 'cook' at +70C!

-27c here tonight. Is the USA the only country left on the Imperial system?

Donna...-45c....hmmm....might as well move into your deep freeze then, that's cold! I think the coldest we've ever got here was around -37c or so. I remember my truck not starting for about 4 days that week. That would've been in 1989. But if you talk to the old farmers at the local curling rink they'll tell you of colder temps back in the fifties, 7 meter snow drifts, 70 km winds etc...heh...

I remember in 1995/96 when I still lived in Edmonton, driving out to Drayton Vally with -54 temps. That was a pretty cold year.
That same year up here the temps were going down to -65, Allan said if you took a leak outside it froze before it hit the snow.(he works in the bush, no bathrooms out there) BRRRRRRRRRRRR........Gotta watchout for the frost bite.

Heh heh, +10c, 170F, +20C, -45C, 70km winds... http://www.PCGuide.com/ubb/eek.gif

What are you folks talkin' about?

Let's just say it's the mildest winter I can remember in northern New Hampshire. There's about 2ft. of very wet snow out in the back country. And it's meltin', fast.

I've been out checkin' bear dens and deer yards. One of the dens now has two cubs... http://www.PCGuide.com/ubb/smile.gif http://www.PCGuide.com/ubb/smile.gif http://www.PCGuide.com/ubb/smile.gif I'm so excited! This is the first time I've been in on checkin' the bears. Kinda nerve rackin' but so exciting.

Last year, due to about five feet of late season snow, we lost about half the deer herd. This year is the payback. So far anyway. The yards are full of skippers. Lookin' good.

There's joy in the northland for sure.

Yes, we prefer needing 2 sets of tools to work on automobiles. And, we also absolutely enjoy trying to figure out what the next wrench size is after a 3/8ths!

We also, apparently, prefer trying to figure out what the temperatures actually are compared to ours! http://www.PCGuide.com/ubb/frown.gif http://www.PCGuide.com/ubb/biggrin.gif

It's too warm here folks...50-60 F for the last week or so...I remember back in the 70's when we had some super cold winters...but now...I think the whole season to geographic location relationship is changing...I don't subscribe to the Global Warming/GreenHouse Effect ideas either...just think nature is on a bit of a rampage...lol http://www.PCGuide.com/ubb/biggrin.gif

Donna, nice find on that temperature converter....So, when we gonna start this flirting bit? http://www.PCGuide.com/ubb/biggrin.gif j/k

I don't know..I tend to wonder about the global warming thing. We're unseasonably warm too, and were two inches short on rain/snow at end of year, so a wee bit concerned about water next summer. Our ski resorts are making their own snow..nature hasn't provided as much as is needed.

Yep, Whyzman, my husband is in total agreement on the car tool thing!
