Hey folks,

Just heard the news. Ol' Waylon died this mornin. "Let's go to Luckenbach Texas, with Willie and Waylon and the boys..."

I saw Waylon in Jacksonville Florida way back when I was an eighteen year old hippee kid from Boston. It was in a small barroom, maybe 200 people there. He bought me a drink after the show and called me "kid". What a memory.

Here's one for you, Waylon...

Steve,

Awesome memory! http://www.PCGuide.com/ubb/wink.gif Absolutley amazing the life-long impression from the kindness and attention directed at us from someone we respect. If that's the kind of person he was...imagine the lives he touched...he will be missed for more than just his music.

Thanks folks,

Whyzman, you've lived up to your name.

Donna, you're a woman with heart.

Paul, I think you're a musician.

Gallaeglagh, you've been listening to country music! http://www.PCGuide.com/ubb/wink.gif

Waylon was a Legend. Walked his own path.

I'll always call his CD... WAYLON the EAGLE
one of my all time favorites.

Much history with Waylon. Gave up his seat to The
Big Bopper many years ago or he would have went down
with Buddy Holley and crew.

Waylon had heart surgery four or five years ago. Left
foot had to be amputated last Dec. But he still wanted
to go on tour in April.

I can throw a rock and hit Lukenbach. Willie holds his
4th of July concert there every year. Won't be the same
this year without Waylon Jennings.

Bartender.... Set up a round. This one's for Waylon. RIP

"Just some good ol' boys, never meaning no harm...fighting the system like two modern day Robin Hoods..."

Gonna miss ol Waylon, though Marty Robins was actually my favorite singer, the highwayman always had a place in my collection too.

GOD speed Waylon, may the wind always be at your back, and the dust of the road never cling to your coat.
