I'm sick of this guy - Let's see besides being an all around jerk
- Bit an opponents ear off
- Convicted of rape
- Beat up an old man who he got in a car accident with
- Accused again of rape
- Now he bites another man on the leg

Though Tyson isn't the fighter or person he use to be. I thought he's recent "fight" was more media BS then anything. Clearly he was going up to Lewis to perform the staged "Faceoff". Lewis' bodyguard must have been out of the loop and got in Tyson's face. Tyson threw a punch (a love tab really) and missed after which Lewis decides to chime in with a punch of his own.( yet noone is say a thing about that. Why didn't Lewis just simply back away? One could argue that Lewis wanted to push Tyson's bottons for the media coverage and did so with the help of his bodyguards. Boxing is famous for that kind of crap.)
Having watched boxing for years I can say I've seen worst from fighters of all classes and periods. That "show" was nothing new but it does highlight the sad state of boxing today. It ain't what it use to be for the "heavies".

I'm with you Gallaeglagh,
What a no class jerk Tyson is. I saw his latest stunt as it happened. What does he think this is, pro wrestling?
He dosen't even have a license to box in Nevada. Hope he never gets it back.
It's hard for boxing to get any respect with lowlifes like Tyson around.

Not to defend Tyson's image (frankly, I was never a big Tyson fan but I did respect his talent.)
But to answer your question, yes he does!!! http://www.PCGuide.com/ubb/biggrin.gif http://www.PCGuide.com/ubb/biggrin.gif ( If I remember correctly, didn't he get into some sort of pro wrestling gig for awhile?)
From what I've heard Ali the master of the faceoff got many of his "style pointers" from pro wrestling http://www.PCGuide.com/ubb/biggrin.gif

Heh, heh, I see your point. But....I think Ali elevated the sport, Tyson is dragging it into the gutter. Ali was an Olympic champion, Tyson is a thug. IMHO of course. http://www.PCGuide.com/ubb/smile.gif

Thank you Ghost, I am with you 100%.
I really did like Tyson because of his talent, but due to some things that have happened in his past, ANYTHING that goes wrong while he is in the room, he will be solely blamed for all of it.
{Funny thought} Hey, I was at that press conference and now I can't find my wallet. Mike Tyson picked my pocket! http://www.PCGuide.com/ubb/biggrin.gif
Yes he has become an animal, but he is not exactly guilty of much the way the media puts it out. How the heck could he have known he was bitting Lewis' leg in that mêlée.
And he did not bite the ear OFF of the biggest farce in boxings history, he bit a small piece out. Far less reconstuctive surgery went into Holifield's ear than into repairing the cuts on Tyson's head from headbutts.
I am not defending Tyson's actions, but he will never get a fair shot for the rest of his life. He has the stigma now http://www.PCGuide.com/ubb/frown.gif

I think I may have watched one boxing match in the past five years. I respect the sport - the tactics and action are so disciplined, in fact, that I lose interest sitting through the attrition waiting for the KO, if it ever comes.
But even the most casual of observers can see that Mike Tyson is a delusional, self-destructive wingnut who has no business competing in any contact sport at a professional level. For that matter, he's shown himself to be such a hooligan and miscreant that his social interaction should be restricted to psychiatric sessions.
Crazy as a rat in a tin ****house.

I'm also with GH on this one; i've been a boxing fan for years-and everyone who has any sense knows that it's blatantly fixed.
Money is the key in this sport moreso than any other.
The Dking has long been famous for his theatric's-one of which tyson is, if you followed his early carrer you could see how good a fighter he initially was, then the as the money began to flow-Dking began his theatric's.
I pretty much suspect that the event s between Lewis&tyson was staged for publicity-with the kind of money riding on this upcoming fight i find it hard to believe that the Nevada commision will refuse to liscense tyson.
too many powerful people have an interest in this.
So, any one up for a Party at my place on fight night? http://www.PCGuide.com/ubb/biggrin.gif ( with a HUGE screen HDTV of course! http://www.PCGuide.com/ubb/tongue.gif )

Tyson has always been that way, going all the way back to his childhood. At least, that's the case if what I've read is true.
Of course it's a media stunt.
To anybody who likes the fight game but is sick of the long run and short slide that pro boxing is offering nowadays, may I recommend this? (http://www.sherdog.com)

yawningdog I'm a big fan of the UFC. Watching Gracie in the early fights is what got me into Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. (some of the best Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu fighters have schools in my area including the Gracies )
But I haven't had the time to watch any of these "no holds bared" fights in some time http://www.PCGuide.com/ubb/frown.gif

Now yer talkin' my language GH http://www.PCGuide.com/ubb/biggrin.gif
There are a couple of good schools here in Va. Beach, one of them is run by a Brazilian black belt who is certified under Renzo Gracie. Another one is certified under Pedro Sauer, who was Rickson's top student.
Check out the Pride series. Lots of great action in those, and you have to check out guys like Sakuraba, Coleman and Kerr.

Yeah Tyson is scum. He's made no secret of his past as a mugger before Cus Damato took him in.
It's a shame that criminals can make millions of $$$ providing "entertainment", and thousands of teachers, cops, firemen, child-care providers, (and others who actually provide services that we actually NEED), can't make a decent living.
I don't watch or support any professional sports. The quest for the almighty dollar is turning children's games into something other than what it was intended- a pleasurable way to while away some time.
