ok geeks, heres a challenge for you.
different uses for computer bits/parts add-ons.
you can use the keyboard as a paddle.
case into a cat litter tray.
and so on.
how any uses will your pc have when its dead?
forgive me, im young. Jiggy
Hi Jiggy,
Cut holes in the case.
To let your mouse play in there.
That way you've got a use for your mouse and case.
And when the cats fed up with the keyboard, He can join in.

Old CD-ROMs can be used like a doctor's "bulls-eye" mirror for seeing down dark narrow holes. Light source from the side; look through the hole in the middle; and deflect the light down into the hole. I recently retrieved a nut, which had been dropped into a gearbox, from a neighbours tractor using one like this; saved him "splitting" the tractor to get it out!!

If you put cds on the ends of long sticks you can use them as driveway marking reflectors in front of your trailer.

Old CD-Roms are most attractive and effective scarecrows on fruit trees, vegetable pads, in kitchen gardens, seed beds etc. etc.
Or why not string 'em up and use them as Japanese wind chimes in your front porch? Your visitors are sure to be delighted by such a welcome.

I string together the short phone cords that come with new modems and make trot-lines. AOL cds that come in the mail are dandy for skeet-shooting. Tower cases are nice to sit on while I work on my car in the driveway. I filled an old monitor case up with candy and hung it in a tree in the backyard. My kids loved their high-tech pinata.

Mount the power supply and old CD-ROM drives to the bottom of the kitchen table. Then *zzzip*! Out comes the retractable coffee cup holder!
Old hard drives: open them up, turn on the power and presto! Instant mini pottery wheel!
Old motherboards, PCI/ISA cards, and other assorted IC's: tiny cityscapes to crush with your Mechwarrior models! (hey, I've always wanted a Mechwarrior model, OK?)
Old speakers: a trip to Radio Shack, a little welding and rewiring and you've got some cool looking walkie-talkies to enjoy with your friends and neighbors!
Old printers: hook it 'em up in the printer room of your local DMV (or other government agency) and watch the IT fun!
Ok, so a couple of them are far-flung, but what do you expect at 2:30 am?
