Does anyone know anything about palm pilots?

My son-in-law received some type of palm pilot as a gift (I'm not certain of the make). His complaint was that the size of the fonts was so small that he couldn't read the screen without some serious squinting. After reading the manual cover to cover he said there was no remedy and returned the item for a credit. He'd love another palm pilot but needs larger type. Any ideas?

whatwas thebrand of the palm pilot (PDA as it is called now...). PDAs or personal digital assistantreally have small fonts by default. although you can change the font to make them slightly bigger, but it is still small. http://www.PCGuide.com/ubb/smile.gif

was it colored or b&w? its easier to read colored, especially if youre astigmatic like me.
