Perhaps the most anticipated sequel in modern history is upon us. Yes, I can only be talking about one movie...Slapshot2. I know you diehard hockey fans (there's at least 3 of you) are already excited, like myself, at this great cinematic feast but now the rest of you can foil up your knuckles, come over the boards and join in the fun.
For those of you scratching your heads wondering what ol' Steveo is going on about this time, Slapshot came out in 1977 starring Paul Newman, Strother Martin and of course the unholy trio of brothers, the long haired, black rimmed bespeckled Hansons. The movie, based on the real life experiences of the Hanson's hockey career, featured the fall then rise of the Charlestown Chiefs of the Federal Hockey League to the championship game (by whatever means nessecary).
Now the long awaited sequel is here and the boys foil up the knucks one more time.
Favourite quote from the original...Broadcaster during the big game: "his deportation back to Canada and that country's refusal to take him..."
Enjoy...
