View Full Version : Reformatted C, DOS not recognizing CD-Rom
I reformatted my friend's C Drive, but even using his boot disk it does not recognize the CD-Rom. The floppy brings up the A prompt, but that's it. When I try to switch to his CD drive it won't switch. It does recognize his empty C and the files on his D drive. His Config.sys file doesn't have a line, Device=....., which id's his CD. His boot disk does not have an Autoexec.bat file on it. My friend's wife refuses to talk to him until he gets his beast up and running again!! Help!!

If you have ICQ, get a hold of me at 97728640 and I'll send you a generic cdrom device driver and tell you how to install it.
