my 3 1/2 drive seems to have stopped working or something. when i try to put a disk in it says, A: is not accessible or ready. i have tried plenty of different disks and getting the same message. I'm not sure if something got changed somehow or what. What can i do to fix this? Please help. Thank you, Dawn

Sounds like it might have died. Have you been inside the case? Have you run a good virus scanner with current DAT files?
Might try finding a floppy cleaning kit, the drive could be dirty.

If you had everything...Where would you put it?

It could very easily be your floppy cable, too. If your floppy cable has gone bad (and they do, sometimes depending on how old they are), it doens't matter how many different disk you put in. If you have been inside the case, check to make sure that the floppy drive cable is snub. Try to loosen it and reattach it. If the problem still persists, replace the floppy drive cable. This is just another suggestion, to go along with Paleo Pete's advice, which is also a strong possibility. Good Luck......

Possibly you loaded something new and there is a conflict somewhere...possibly an IRQ conflict.
Have you tried looking at it from the device manager and looking at the properties on it?
